Chemical peels are non-invasive, skin-resurfacing treatments that use a chemical solution to exfoliate and remove damaged outer layers of skin. By encouraging cell turnover and collagen production, chemical peels reveal smoother, clearer, and brighter skin underneath. They are ideal for addressing texture irregularities, pigmentation, acne scars, fine lines, and overall skin rejuvenation.
Chemical peels are classified into three categories: Light, Medium, and Deep Peels, each designed to target specific skin concerns.
Types of Chemical Peels
Light Peels (Superficial Peels)
-
Targets the epidermis (outer layer of skin).
-
Commonly used for mild exfoliation, improving texture, reducing fine lines, and brightening dull skin.
-
Ideal for maintenance treatments and sensitive skin types.
-
No significant downtime; mild redness may occur.
Medium Peels (Jessner Peel & TCA Peel)
-
Penetrates the middle layers of skin (epidermis & upper dermis).
-
Effective for treating acne scars, moderate wrinkles, pigmentation issues, and sun damage.
-
Causes skin to peel over several days, revealing smoother, healthier skin.

Jessner Peel: A blend of lactic acid, salicylic acid, and resorcinol. Great for acne-prone skin, pigmentation, and rough texture.
-
TCA Peel: Stronger exfoliation for deeper pigmentation, scarring, and texture improvement.
Deep Peels (Vivier Peel / Phenol Peel)
-
Targets the deepest layers of the skin.
-
Used for severe sun damage, deep wrinkles, significant pigmentation issues, and deep scars.
-
Vivier Peel: A medical-grade peel that combines pharmaceutical-grade acids and antioxidants to enhance skin texture, reduce the appearance of fine lines, and improve skin clarity.
